Legal
Terms of sale & service.
The agreement between you and us when you buy a piece from this shop. Please read it before you order — placing an order means you accept it.
About these terms
These terms govern every order placed on this website with My Store. They apply alongside our privacy policy, cookie policy and returns and refunds policy, which form part of the agreement between us. Our full trading details are on the legal notice page.
By placing an order you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract.
The seller
Pieces sold on this website are sold by:
- Trading name — My Store
- Email — [email protected]
How a contract is formed
Before paying you can review your bag, change sizes and quantities, and correct your details. Your order is placed when you click the payment button, which clearly signals an obligation to pay. We then send a confirmation by email, which is a durable record of your order, these terms and the price paid. Keep it: we also archive your order and can send you a copy on request.
We may decline an order — for example if a piece is no longer available, if there was an obvious pricing or description error, if we cannot deliver to your address, or if payment is refused or an order appears fraudulent. If we decline after payment, you are refunded in full.
Pieces, sizes and colours
We describe every garment — composition, cut and care — as accurately as we can. Photographs are indicative: screens render colour differently, and natural fibres such as wool, linen and silk vary slightly in shade, weave and texture from one batch to the next. Such variation is a property of the material, not a fault.
Pieces are cut in small runs. Availability is shown on each product page and is not guaranteed until your order is accepted.
Prices and payment
- Prices are shown in the currency of the store and include VAT or sales tax where it applies.
- Delivery charges, and any duties or import taxes for deliveries outside the country of dispatch, are shown or explained at checkout before you pay.
- We can change prices at any time, but never after your order has been accepted.
- Payment is taken through our payment provider by the methods shown at checkout. We never see or store your full card details.
- If a price is obviously wrong, we will contact you before dispatch and you may confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it free of charge.
Delivery
Delivery options, costs and estimated timings are calculated from your address and shown at checkout before any payment is taken — see our shipping page. Estimated dates are estimates, not guarantees. Risk in the goods passes to you when the parcel is delivered to the address you gave us.
Unless another date is agreed at checkout, we deliver within 30 days of your order. If a parcel is late, tell us and we will chase the carrier; if it still does not arrive within an additional reasonable period you set us, you may cancel the order and be refunded in full within 14 days. Please check your parcel on arrival and tell us about any damage or missing piece as soon as possible.
Cancellation and returns
As a consumer buying at distance you have a statutory right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason, and a further 14 days to send the pieces back. The practical steps, the condition pieces must come back in, the few items this right does not cover and how refunds are paid are all set out in our returns and refunds policy, which forms part of these terms. You may use our model cancellation form or any other clear statement.
Legal guarantees: faulty or misdescribed pieces
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights. Every piece benefits, free of charge, from the legal guarantees that apply to consumer sales, in addition to your right to cancel.
Legal guarantee of conformity (EU consumers). You are entitled to the legal guarantee of conformity for two years from delivery. Any lack of conformity that appears within that time is presumed to have existed at delivery, so you do not have to prove it. You may ask for the piece to be repaired or replaced at no cost to you; if that is impossible, disproportionate or not done within 30 days, you may obtain a price reduction or cancel the sale for a full refund. In France this is governed by articles L.217-3 to L.217-20 of the Consumer Code.
Guarantee against hidden defects. You may also claim under the guarantee against hidden defects within two years of discovering the defect (in France, articles 1641 to 1649 of the Civil Code), and choose between cancelling the sale or a price reduction.
UK consumers. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose; you may reject faulty goods for a full refund within 30 days, and claim a repair, replacement or refund after that.
In every case the cost of returning a faulty piece is ours. Write to us with your order number and a photograph and we will deal with it promptly.
Your account
If you create an account, keep your password confidential and tell us at once if you think someone else is using it. You are responsible for orders placed through your account. We may suspend or close an account that is used fraudulently or in breach of these terms.
Using this website
The site, its text, photography, graphics and the designs of our pieces belong to us or our licensors and may not be copied, resold or used commercially without our written permission. You agree not to misuse the site — no attempts to break into it, scrape it at scale, or introduce anything harmful to it or its users.
Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for unforeseeable loss, nor for business losses, as this shop sells to consumers for private use.
We never exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
We are not liable for delays outside our control, such as extreme weather, carrier strikes or customs holds; where one occurs we will tell you and, if the delay is substantial, you may cancel and be refunded for anything not yet delivered.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms — for example when the law or the way we sell changes. The version published when you place your order is the one that applies to it.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the country in which we are established, and the courts there have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom or the European Union, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of your own country and may bring proceedings in your local courts.
We would always rather sort a problem out directly: write to us at [email protected] and we will do our best to resolve it. If no solution is found after a written complaint, consumers may refer the dispute free of charge to the consumer mediation scheme we belong to, within one year of that complaint.
